Madam Mayor, Ladies Board, citizens of Mediglia,
about a year ago Council Chamber Group "La Fenice" has taken a decision not easy and we have been perfectly aware from the outset, a decision that could be misunderstood or, worse, could become subject to political exploitation of low-level.

A fronte di questa gravissima situazione, il Gruppo de “La Fenice” decise responsabilmente di contribuire a evitare il commissariamento del nostro Comune, evento che avrebbe posto ulteriori incognite sull’iter del gassificatore e certamente non avrebbe contribuito a risolvere nessuno dei problemi aperti.
La decisione non è stata facile. Anche al nostro interno le opinioni non erano del tutto concordanti. C’era preoccupazione circa la responsabilità che ci si andava ad assumere, anche per via dell’oggettiva seriousness of the problems and uncertainties about the existence of processes outside our control, such as the "gasifier."

Peccato che molte delle scelte pratiche incluse nel piano fossero in palese contrary to general principles.
